Medical Microneedling

Medical Microneedling is a clinically advanced skin rejuvenation treatment delivered by a medically qualified aesthetics nurse with expertise in regenerative medicine and skin integrity. This minimally invasive procedure stimulates the skin’s natural healing processes to improve texture, tone, and overall quality—without compromising safety.

What is Medical Microneedling?
Medical Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy / collagen banking. It uses a precision-engineered microneedling device (Code X Pen) to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin’s dermis. These microchannels trigger the body’s natural repair mechanisms—activating fibroblasts, promoting new collagen and elastin production, and enhancing cellular turnover.

Unlike cosmetic microneedling, medical-grade microneedling penetrates deeper layers of the skin, offering more robust and long-lasting results under sterile, regulated conditions. Treatments can be enhanced with exosomes, polynucleotides or bioactive skin boosters for superior regenerative outcomes.

Benefits of Medical Microneedling:
• Improves skin firmness, elasticity, and hydration
• Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
• Minimises acne scars and post-inflammatory pigmentation
• Refines enlarged pores
• Evens skin tone and texture
• Softens stretch marks
• Supports treatment of sun damage and early skin ageing
• Enhances absorption of topical regenerative serums

Treatment Areas:
• Face
• Neck & Décolletage
• Scalp (for hair regeneration)
• Hands
• Body areas with scars, stretch marks or laxity

Treatment Protocol & Downtime:
• Session Duration: Approx. 45–60 minutes (including topical numbing)
• Course: 3–6 sessions recommended, 4–6 weeks apart depending on skin indication
• Maintenance: Every 6 months or as advised during consultation
• Downtime: Mild redness and sensitivity for 24–48 hours. Slight swelling and dryness may occur for a few days post-procedure. Most clients return to normal activities within 1–2 days.

Before Your Treatment:
• Avoid active skincare (retinoids, AHAs/BHAs) for 3 days pre-treatment
• Do not undergo laser, waxing or advanced peels 1 week before
• Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol 24 hours prior
• Arrive with cleansed skin (makeup-free)

Aftercare Advice:
• Avoid touching or applying non-medical products to the skin for 24 hours
• Use only gentle, hydrating products as recommended
• Avoid intense exercise, swimming, sauna or hot showers for 48 hours
• Avoid direct sunlight and always wear SPF 30+
• Do not exfoliate or use active ingredients for 5–7 days post-treatment
• Expect mild flaking or dryness as skin renews

What to Expect:
Immediately after: Skin may appear red, tight and warm—similar to mild sunburn.

1–3 days post-treatment: Redness settles, with potential flaking or dryness. Skin begins its renewal phase.
1–2 weeks: Noticeably smoother, firmer, more luminous skin.
4–6 weeks: Maximum collagen regeneration for visible improvement in scarring, texture and fine lines.

Results are progressive and cumulative. Patients often report a healthier, refreshed glow even after the first treatment, with more significant long-term benefits over a course.
