Aftercare for Anti-Wrinkle Injections
After your anti-wrinkle treatment, I will provide detailed aftercare guidance to help you achieve the best possible results and minimize any side effects. Key points include:
- Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours.
- Refrain from vigorous exercise, saunas, and hot tubs for 24 hours.
- Stay upright for at least 4 hours following your treatment.
- Avoid applying makeup for the rest of the day to reduce the risk of irritation.
- Minor redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites is normal and usually settles within a few days.
I also offer a complimentary review appointment 2 weeks after your procedure to assess your results and make any necessary adjustments, ensuring you’re completely happy with your outcome. Follow-up support is always available if you have any questions or concerns.

Following these simple steps after your anti-wrinkle treatment helps ensure optimal results and reduces any potential side effects:
For the First 4–6 Hours:
- Stay upright; do not lie down or bend forward.
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas.
- Skip makeup and skincare products on the injection sites.
- Refrain from strenuous exercise or activities that cause sweating.
For the First 24 Hours:
- Avoid alcohol, excessive heat (like saunas, hot tubs), and hot showers.
- Do not have facials, massages, or any cosmetic treatments.
- Avoid tight headwear that might press on treated areas.
Ongoing Care:
- You may gently cleanse your face with a mild cleanser after 12 hours.
- Avoid laser treatments, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels for 1–2 weeks.
Before & After Expectations

Immediately After Treatment:
- You might notice small bumps, redness, or mild swelling—this is normal and usually subsides within a few hours.
- There may be a sensation of tightness or slight tenderness at injection points.
1–3 Days Post-Treatment:

7–14 Days Post-Treatment:
- Full results are visible.
- Wrinkles and fine lines will appear softer and less defined.
- Treated muscles will be more relaxed, but natural movement is preserved.
How Long Will It Last?

When to Seek Medical Advice
Though complications are rare, contact your practitioner immediately if you experience:
- Difficulty swallowing, breathing, or speaking
- Vision disturbances or drooping eyelids
- Signs of infection (redness, heat, swelling, pus)
- Severe headache or flu-like symptoms
